I am a great fan of Catcher in the Rye and have read it half a dozen times and it always cracks me up ; )&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I really like your psychological analysis of it, and especially liked the bit about preps &amp;quot;preparing&amp;quot; for life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, I am a bit surprised that you haven&amp;#39;t talked much about its cultural component, because it is not only adults he is alienated from but society itself.
